Millions of lights, futuristic technologies, Italian and foreign buyers, television crews from all over the world and even a National Geographic special. Scorrano, a small town a few kilometers from Otranto, in Salento, is the world capital of lights.

Its light sculptures, the most beautiful and impressive in the world, are an all-Italian pride to which every country looks to discover previews, news and exclusives in the sector. In the first days of July, when the patronal feast is held in Scorrano in honor of Santa Domenica, and the main luminaries builders commit to building more exceptional luminaries every year, in addition to the faithful and tourists, buyers arrive from Canada, the United States and from Japan to choose and commission the works that will embellish their cities. Media attention is also very high: a National Geographic troupe has been stationed in Salento for five days to produce a report on the town and its light sculptures.

Several international TV stations guarantee a front row seat for their correspondents, so as not to miss the incomparable spectacle of the lighting and rhythm of music.
